Introduction

We are seeking a Logistics Manager to join the Consumables business area and the regional operating hub for SAM. You will be responsible for logistics in Brazil. The successful candidate will oversee logistics for the country, drive process optimization, manage high‑complexity transportation networks, and ensure reliable delivery performance across all customer segments. 
This role plays a crucial part in the business area strategy, which will contribute to both our profitability and our service levels to customers. 
In this position, you will report to the Head of SAM Region Logistics.
This position is mainly located in Sorocaba, Brazil.

What you’ll do
•    Oversee shipment scheduling and dispatching once goods are ready, ensuring alignment with production output and customer requirements
•    Direct transportation strategies for heavy, oversized, specialized, or high‑volume components, managing relationships with key carriers, freight partners, and logistics service providers
•    Provide leadership and oversight for warehouse and distribution operations across multiple regions, ensuring efficient material flow and proper handling of rubber, steel, composite, and ceramic consumables
•    Lead visibility and tracking processes for shipments to warehouses, customer facilities, mine sites, and remote locations, including both company‑arranged freight and customer‑arranged logistics partners.
•    Develop and execute multi‑region logistics strategies that support business growth, improve service levels, and reduce total logistics cost
•    Collaborate with manufacturing plants, procurement, sales, and service teams to ensure logistics capabilities support production planning, customer commitments, and long‑term business objectives
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing KPIs, performance dashboards, and standardized processes across all logistics functions
•    Manage escalations involving complex logistics challenges, carrier performance issues, or customer‑impacting delays, ensuring timely resolution and preventive actions
•    Oversee compliance with safety, environmental, and transportation regulations across all logistics operations
•    Lead, mentor, and develop logistics managers and specialists, building a high‑performing team and strengthening organizational capability
•    Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning for logistics operations and infrastructure

 


Who you are
Master in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Extensive logistics or supply chain leadership experience in mining, heavy industry, or industrial consumables.
Strong expertise in managing transportation networks for heavy, oversized, or specialized components.
Proven ability to lead logistics strategies across multiple regions or countries.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team‑development skills.
Proficiency with ERP systems, logistics KPIs, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience in managing complex vendor relationships and high impact escalations.
Fluency in English and intermediate proficiency in Spanish is required.
