You will be responsible for leading global product process ownership for Rubber/Poly-Met Mill Lining products, with the role preferably located in Brazil close to SAM and NCA mill lining production locations at Sorocaba Foundry or Rubber/Poly-Met operations. The role converts Business Line/Product Line, R&D and market needs into consistent, safe, manufacturable, scalable and cost-competitive manufacturing processes. It strengthens the connection between Mill Lining business priorities and operations, standardises process engineering practices across sites, accelerates new product/material introductions, and improves safety, quality, sustainability, lead time, productivity, product cost and customer reliability as part of the CNS Supply Chain Tier 1 journey. Your role plays a crucial part to contribute to our business.
In this position, you will report to VP, Global Production Excellence, Consumables Supply Chain.
This position is mainly located in Brazil at Sorocaba Foundry or Rubber/Poly-Met operations, with global travel as required.

Team you will belong to

You will join Global Production Excellence team which is supporting all CNS Supply Chain domains: Foundry Processes and Technologies; Rubber & Poly-Met Processes and Technologies as well as Fabrication & Assembly Processes and Technologies. Global Production Excellence is structured around three core pillars: Product Process Owners, Project & Portfolio Management, and the Global Manufacturing Engineering Center. Together, these pillars provide the global production process ownership, project governance, manufacturing engineering capability and technical deployment support required to strengthen CNS Supply Chain performance across safety, sustainability, quality, productivity, lead time and cost.
We work closely with internal / external stakeholders, such as Mill Lining Business Line/Product Line, CNS Technology, Project & Portfolio Management, Global Manufacturing Engineering Center, Rubber/Poly-Met Technologies, Manufacturing Execution, Quality, HSE, Finance and local Rubber/Poly-Met operations.
Our team culture is all about customer in center, high ambition – always, getting it done – together and open and honest.
The members of our team are located globally in many countries like Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, USA, India, Australia, South-Africa and Brazil.

What you’ll do

  • Own the global product process roadmap for Rubber/Poly-Met Mill Lining products, aligning Mill Lining Business Line/Product Line priorities, R&D pipeline, manufacturing capabilities and local operational needs.
  • Translate market, customer and product-performance needs into a clear process-improvement agenda, including standard vs. local process decisions, process specifications and rollout priorities.
  • Create consistency across Rubber/Poly-Met manufacturing by defining and deploying global standards for rubber mixing, compound control, Poly-Met bonding/adhesion, vulcanisation, moulding, inserts, tooling, inspection, repair limits and process controls.
  • Lead gap analysis using HSE, quality, product cost, scrap/rework, yield, lead/cycle/routing time, OEE, warranty and customer-performance data to identify value-driving improvements.
  • Support new R&D opportunities, new materials, product extensions, design changes and manufacturability reviews from concept through industrialisation, pilot runs, ramp-up and stable production.
  • Lead pilots, DOE, laboratory tests, production trials and first-article validation; confirm safety, quality, environmental and financial gains before and after implementation.
  • Own selected improvement projects and contribute to Project & Portfolio Management governance through business cases, scope, risk, timing, benefits validation and handover documentation.
  • Support local operations with process engineering, root-cause problem solving and implementation; coach teams to build sustainable capability and reduce dependence on individual know-how.

What you’ll bring

  • Degree in materials, polymer, mechanical, industrial, manufacturing or process engineering; relevant deep practical expertise may complement formal qualifications.
Strong experience in Rubber/Poly-Met mill lining, rubber products, engineered consumables, process engineering, industrialisation or manufacturing excellence in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Deep understanding of rubber mixing/compounding, vulcanisation, adhesion/bonding, Poly-Met construction, metallic inserts, moulds/tooling, dimensional control, inspection, process capability and product standards.

  • Strong capability in DOE, root-cause analysis, Lean Six Sigma, value-flow thinking, product-cost/payback analysis, work standardisation and data-led problem solving.
  • Able to influence in a global matrix, communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders, and lead change across local operations without relying only on direct authority.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt minimum; Black Belt preferred. Power BI, SPC/Minitab, SAP, CAD/CAE, Teamcenter/NX, 3D scanning, process simulation or automation/data-acquisition exposure desirable.
  • English required; Portuguese and/or Spanish an advantage.
