Introduction
We are seeking a Trial and Replacement Manager to strengthen our Day-to-Day team in the Regional Hub – Pumps BL (SAM), driving initiatives that expand our competitive position, increase customer value, and accelerate aftermarket growth. You will lead the regional strategy for converting competitor installed base, enabling Market Areas through methodologies, tools, benchmarking, and commercial-technical guidance.
You will coordinate replacement-focused strategies across the SAM region, ensuring consistency, governance, capability development, and sustainable business expansion. Your contribution will be essential for unlocking new opportunities, expanding our presence in AAA/AA/A customers, and accelerating growth in new geographies.
In this position, you will report to the Aftermarket Regional Head – Pumps BL.
This role is based in the SAM Region (Brazil) and involves up to 40% travel (national and international).
Team you belong to
You will join a team of replacement, trials, and competitive intelligence specialists dedicated to strengthening Metso’s ability to convert competitor installed base across Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves.
Current focus areas include Trials & Tests governance, funnel acceleration, competitor displacement strategy, and installed base expansion.
We collaborate closely with Market Areas, Product Management, Technical Support & Warranty, Commercial Excellence, D2D teams, and Global Inventory Planning.

What you'll do
• Define and lead the regional competitor replacement strategy.
• Enable Market Areas to convert competitor installed base across Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves.
• Expand sales into AAA/AA/A customers and new geographies through installed base conversion.
• Develop standardized frameworks for Trials & Tests with performance KPIs (execution by MA).
• Provide technical-commercial expertise for replacement opportunities.
• Build and standardize value propositions, competitive comparison tools, and conversion packages.
• Lead competitive benchmarking and performance validation methodologies.
• Track funnel performance, win rates, trial results, and competitive movements.
• Provide competitive intelligence and market insights to support regional growth.
• Prepare structured business cases and opportunity reports.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, or related fields.
- Strong technical understanding of slurry pumps and competitor equipment.
- Experience with technical benchmarking, performance testing, and competitor analysis.
- Solid commercial and value-selling capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to build business cases.
- Ability to influence and support Market Areas without direct authority.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strategic, proactive, competitive and opportunity-driven profile.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish language skills.
