Introduction
We are looking for a Sales Support Specialist, Automation to join our Mining Segment CSP business team in the Services business area. In this role, you will drive growth in automation, electrification, and digital upgrade solutions by helping customers improve equipment performance, reliability, safety, and operational efficiency across the installed base.
You will report to the VP, Minerals Segment, CSP, and the role location is Sorocaba, Brazil, with a hybrid working model. Travel of up to 40% may be required.
Team you will belong to
You will join the Mining Segment CSP business team, which focuses on supporting automation, electrification, and modernization opportunities for crushers and related equipment. The team plays an important role in expanding upgrade solutions across the installed base and supporting the growth strategy for automation-related products and services.
The team collaborates closely with Product Management, Engineering, Digital Solutions teams, Market Areas, distributors, and customers. Team members are located globally, supporting cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement across different regions.
What you’ll do
- Identify, develop, and promote automation and electrification upgrade opportunities across the installed base.
- Drive sales growth for automation upgrades, motors, electrical systems, instrumentation, sensors, PLC-based controls, HMI systems, and related technologies.
- Analyze installed equipment to identify obsolete automation platforms and lifecycle replacement opportunities.
- Support Market Areas and customers with technical evaluations, automation roadmaps, upgrade recommendations, and business cases.
- Prepare technical-commercial proposals, quotations, lifecycle studies, and value-based recommendations.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Digital Solutions teams, and Market Areas to develop standard upgrade offerings.
- Support customer meetings, site visits, audits, workshops, and product launches while promoting automation and modernization solutions.
- Support project execution, sales forecasting, pipeline management, installed base analytics, and continuous improvement through market and customer insights.
What you’ll bring
- Strong experience in mining, process industries, automation, electrical systems, industrial controls, or industrial equipment environments.
- Solid understanding of industrial automation and electrical systems, including PLCs, HMI systems, instrumentation, sensors, drives, and motor controls.
- Experience developing technical and commercial proposals and translating customer needs into practical upgrade solutions.
- Ability to identify modernization opportunities, develop business cases, and communicate value propositions related to productivity, reliability, safety, and asset performance.
- Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across global cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English.
- Bachelor's degree or technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with crusher automation systems, drives, motors, instrumentation, and process control applications.
- Knowledge of mining operations, mineral processing equipment, digital solutions, condition monitoring, and asset performance management systems.
- Additional language skills.
