Introduction
We are seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist to join our Purchasing Project team. The Senior Purchasing Specialist plays a critical role in driving the successful delivery of Aftermarket Engineer-to-Order (ETO) projects by overseeing procurement and supply chain activities from initiation to completion. This role ensures that all contractual purchasing requirements are executed with accuracy, timeliness, and full transparency. Acting as a strategic liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, this role leads procurement planning, purchase order execution, supplier engagement, and delivery assurance.
In this position, you will report to Project Purchasing Senior Manager.
This position is mainly located in Sorocaba and it involves up to 10% of travel.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of Purchasing Project dedicated to the successful execution of Aftermarket Engineer-to-Order (ETO) projects. We are currently working on serve as an operational buyer, managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle including purchase order issuance, supplier coordination, delivery assurance, and order fulfillment.
We work closely with internal / external stakeholders, such as Global Logistics Operations.

What you’ll do

Execute procurement of goods, materials, components, and services in alignment with defined cost, quality, and delivery parameters.

Monitor and manage open purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery through active supplier engagement and expediting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve systemic procurement bottlenecks.

Facilitate project kick-off meetings with internal project management teams and external suppliers to align expectations and timelines.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with Global Procurement Policies, corporate standards, legal regulations, and ethical guidelines.

Oversee supplier invoice processing and ensure timely payment approvals.

Review and disseminate supplier manufacturing progress reports to relevant stakeholders.

Initiate quality control processes including inspection ticket creation and final quality review coordination.

Coordinate logistics and documentation for global shipment handoffs.

Manage project-specific inventory transfers and stock reservations.
Who you are
- Proficient in contract lifecycle management and supplier negotiations.
- Foundational knowledge of international trade compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in operational procurement processes and best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) for procurement and order tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Solid experience in procurement within the machinery, engineering, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Advanced English is mandatory.
