Befattningen rekryteras till avdelningen Plant & Piping Engineering som ansvarar för att tillhandahålla kvalificerade ingenjörstjänster till våra produktgrupper inom Non-Ferrous and Smelting Recycling. Huvudsakligen omfattar tjänsterna att bidra i offereringsarbete, produktutveckling, produktifiering och leveransprojekt i olika former. Allt från små konsultuppdrag till leverans av kompletta anläggningar. Våra kunder återfinns såväl lokalt som globalt.

Som Engineering Manager leder du projekteringsarbetet i de projekt du ansvarar för. Du driver uppdragen tillsammans med ett projektteam bestående av specialister från flera discipliner och där din uppgift i första hand är att företräda och säkerställa kvaliteten i konstruktionsarbetet för de teknologier som Skellefteåkontoret ansvarar för. Beroende på projektets karaktär kan du arbeta direkt mot slutkund eller ingå i större projektleveranser där flera Metso‑teknologier samverkar. I dessa fall representerar du din teknologi som en del av en bredare helhetslösning och samarbetar nära med andra kontor och funktioner inom organisationen för att skapa en integrerad och effektiv leverans. Metso lägger stor vikt vid säkerhet och tillsammans med ditt team ansvarar du för att nödvändiga riskanalyser genomförs och att identifierade risker också är hanterade. Nyckelord för befattningen är säkerhet, teamwork, samording, kontroll, planering och uppföljning. Du rapporterar till projektledning i projekt samt till chefen för avdelningen Plant & Piping Engineering.

 

För att lyckas i rollen tror vi att du har en högskole- eller civilingenjörsexamen inom ett relevant teknikområde, t.ex. maskinteknik, processteknik, byggteknik i grunden. Utöver det har du mångårig erfarenhet av att bedriva multidiciplinära industriella anläggningsprojekt och har mycket god kännedom om hur olika discipliner samverkar för att i slutändan åstadkomma en säker, effektiv och driftsäker anläggning. Då rollen omfattar en del administrativt arbete behöver du ha mycket goda datorkunskaper, framför allt i Office-applikationer och dokumenthantering.

  • Du är van att arbeta med säkerhet i fokus och är väl bekant med olika former av riskanalyser så som HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA, ATEX etc.
  • Du arbetar proaktivt och strukturerat och har en stark kommunikativ förmåga i både tal och skrift på svenska och engelska. Du är van att leda och delta i möten med kunder, leverantörer och interna intressenter, och du trivs i en roll där du får skapa tydlighet och driva samarbetet framåt.
  • Dina personliga egenskaper gör det naturligt för dig att motivera och leda team samt påverka olika intressenter på ett konstruktivt sätt. Du är flexibel och prestigelös och har en vilja att bidra där det behövs för att skapa framgång i dina uppdrag


Eftersom våra kunder finns runt om i världen så har du förmågan och viljan att resa såväl inrikes som utrikes. Har du dessutom erfarenhet från att ha arbetat inom processindustrin, framför allt på smältverk, så är det meriterande.

We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to strengthen our project organization within the Delivery function at our Skellefteå office. The position is located within the Plant & Piping Engineering department, which is responsible for providing advanced engineering services to our product groups within Non-Ferrous and Smelting Recycling.

The role primarily involves contributing to tendering, product development, productization, and delivery projects in various forms — from smaller consultancy assignments to the delivery of complete plants. Our customers are located both locally and globally.

As an Engineering Manager You will lead the engineering work in the projects you are responsible for. You will drive assignments together with a project team consisting of specialists from multiple disciplines, where your primary responsibility is to represent and ensure the quality of the engineering work for the technologies managed by the Skellefteå office. Depending on the nature of the project, you may work directly with end customers or be part of larger project deliveries where multiple Metso technologies are integrated. In these cases, you will represent your technology as part of a broader solution and collaborate closely with other offices and functions within the organization to ensure an integrated and efficient delivery. Metso places strong emphasis on safety, and together with your team you are responsible for ensuring that necessary risk analyses are conducted and that identified risks are properly mitigated. Key words for the position are safety, teamwork, coordination, control, planning, and follow-up.

 

You will report to the project management within projects and to the Manager of the Plant & Piping Engineering department.


To succeed in this role We believe you hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Civil Engineering. In addition, you have extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary industrial plant projects and possess a strong understanding of how different disciplines interact to deliver a safe, efficient, and reliable plant. As the role includes a certain amount of administrative work, you have strong computer skills, particularly within Office applications and document management. You are accustomed to working with a high focus on safety and are well familiar with various types of risk assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA, and ATEX.

 

You work proactively and in a structured manner and have strong communication skills, both written and spoken, in Swedish and English. You are experienced in leading and participating in meetings with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, and you thrive in a role where you create clarity and drive collaboration forward.

Your personal qualities make it natural for you to motivate and lead teams, as well as influence stakeholders in a constructive way. You are flexible, pragmatic, and willing to contribute where needed to ensure successful project execution.

As our customers are located around the world, you have both the ability and willingness to travel, domestically as well as internationally.

Experience from the process industry—especially from smelters—is considered an advantage.
