Who you'll do

The role can be divided into three main areas: Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Stakeholder Collaboration.

1. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
· Category Focus: Facilities / Business Professional Services/ Travel & Fleet / Engineering and R&D / IT / MRO
· Develop Sourcing Strategies: Find savings opportunities; Create and execute multi-year strategies for the categories to achieve goals like cost reduction, innovation, and sustainability.
· Lead End-to-End Sourcing Events: Run competitive bids (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs), conduct negotiations, and analyze proposals to select the best suppliers.
· Cost Analysis & Benchmarking: Perform detailed cost modeling, "should-cost" analysis, and market benchmarking to ensure the company gets the best value.

2. Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

· Supplier Selection & Qualification: Vet new suppliers for financial stability, compliance, and quality
· Contract Negotiation: Draft, redline, and negotiate complex contracts, focusing on terms & conditions, SLAs, pricing, and risk mitigation.
· Performance Management: Monitor supplier performance against KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), conduct business reviews, and manage underperforming suppliers.
· Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the supply base (e.g., single-source dependencies, geopolitical risks).

3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Improvement
· Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, IT, HR). Understand their needs and challenge requirements to find more efficient or cost-effective solutions.
· Policy & Compliance: Enforce procurement policies, ensure compliance with company standards, and promote the use of preferred suppliers.
· Data Analysis & Reporting: Use spend analytics tools to identify savings opportunities, track performance against savings targets, and report to management.
· Process Optimization: Continuously improve procurement processes, champion e-Procurement tools (like Ariba, or SAP), and drive adoption across the business. 

 

Who you are 


1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or certifications like CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) are highly valued.


2. Experience: 5-8+ years of experience in indirect procurement, with a proven track record in strategic sourcing and negotiation.

 
3. Technical Skills:
  · Proficiency with e-Sourcing 
  · Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis.
  · Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.

   - Fluent in speaking & writing in English 


4. Soft Skills:
  · Exceptional Negotiation Skills: This is paramount.
  · Financial Acumen: Ability to understand TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and build cost models.
  · Communication & Influence: Able to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuade stakeholders.
  · Analytical & Problem-Solving: Data-driven decision-maker.
  · Project Management: Able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
