We are looking for an HSE Manager to lead the development and execution of comprehensive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) strategies for Metso's screening business operations in China. This role will drive operational excellence through risk management, compliance assurance, and cultural transformation while aligning with global sustainability objectives, championing the "Zero Harm" philosophy across two manufacturing plants with 300+ employees. You will have a chance to lead HSE transformation for Metso's strategic China screening business with direct exposure to global best practices and Consumables business area leadership.

What you’ll do
- · Strategic Leadership
- Establish and implement China-specific HSE strategy, short-term and long-term roadmap for screening operations.
- Develop regional sustainability implementation plan including net-zero transition and decarbonization initiatives.
- Present periodic HSE performance reports to executive leadership with actionable insights
- · Operational Risk Management
- Coordinating and implementing Metso playbooks, and procedures in factories, Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.
- Coordinating and working with stakeholders to identify potential risks. Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible and lead mitigation.
- Monitor and participate injury, incident and high potential risks investigation. Provide recommendations and lead to prevent risk.
- · Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain 100% compliance with China legal requirements and Metso's HSE and sustainability directives and requirements.
- Lead frequent meeting to share and lead implementation of best practices from Metso and industry.
- Conduct routine HSE audits as at when due. Track actions to close.
- · Culture & Capability Building
- Deliver competency-based training programs.
- Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with Metso Values, influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- · Stakeholder Management
- Align factories’ manufacturing, engineering etc. the whole operation process on HSE integration.
- Lead regional adoption of corporate HSE reporting tool with 100% data synchronization.
Who you are
- Bachelor degree or above, Major in environment and safety or related engineering.
- More than 7 years working relevant experience.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, team playing and flexible to travel overnight.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. • Certified safety engineer.
- Fluency in oral and written English.
- ESG related working experience is also desirable.
