Job Title: VP, Sales and Services - Chile & South

 

Introduction

 

We are seeking a Vice President of Sales and Service to join our Sales and Service team in Chile & South. You will be responsible for leading a team and executing a customer-centric winning strategy for our operating customers across Chile and Argentina, which involves bringing aftermarket products to our customer base. Your role plays a crucial part in driving sales and service excellence, which will contribute to the overall success and growth of the company.

 

In this position, you will report to the South America Market Area President

 

This position is mainly located in Santiago. However, it involves frequent travel (About 50%) within Chile and other’s location covering mainly customer needs and internal coordination.

You will join a team of sales and service experts dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. We are currently building and growing our sales funnel through effective team leadership, management, and proactive follow-up on focus cases and accounts

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Execute a commercial strategy to successfully support customers and introduce new products and technology in a competitive market.
  • Leads the services´ sales team to meet expected results and profitable growth.
  • Manage commercial activities with customers in the mining segment by analyzing and implementing sales strategies to improve customer service and achieve company goals.
  • Execute a market growth strategies through strategic planning with alignment to other areas to deliver high-quality and cost-competitive products with high safety standards.
  • Oversee service activities in response to market demands.
  • Propose strategic stock levels to meet market and customer needs.
  • Ensure all sales and service processes align with company compliance guidelines.
  • Monitor sales profitability through analysis of statistics, visit reports, meetings, and controls, establishing necessary guidelines to ensure strong sales performance.
  • Participate in and monitor sales and negotiations when needed, acting as a negotiator for strategically important customers.
  • Stay informed about market needs and opportunities to identify new business prospects and ensure Metso’s market presence.
  • Oversee strategic and development plans for each business line and ensure short-term goals are met.
  • Teamwork effectively within region to efficiently provide solutions.

 

 

Required Profile

 

  • University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Postgraduate specialization in Business or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in industrial mining projects, with progressively increasing leadership responsibilities. Experience in Chilean market is a plus.
  • Knowledge in maintenance, engineering, and projects across various mining companies and sectors.
  • Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) is essential.
