We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Logistics SVS – SAM. In this role, you will lead SVS Standard Logistics execution within the South America (SAM) Market Area, ensuring reliable customer delivery, cost discipline, and compliant logistics execution in line with the global logistics operating model.
You will be accountable for end-to-end SVS logistics execution performance in SAM, leading the Market Area SVS standard logistics organization and working in close partnership with Market Area Backlog and Exception Management (BEM), SVS Supply Chain execution teams, and our nominated Logistics Service Providers. You will ensure smooth daily execution, proactive exception handling, and effective escalation when needed.
You will report to Global Director, Standard Logistics in SVS BA.
What you’ll do
- Market Area Logistics Execution
- Lead SVS standard logistics execution within the SAM Market Area, ensuring stable daily operations across transportation, delivery execution, and local warehousing interfaces.
- Ensure logistics operations are executed in line with global operating models, Logistics Sourcing nominations/contracts, and service agreements.
- Own resolution of logistics execution issues within the Market Area and ensure timely escalation via agreed governance when required.
- Execution & Performance Management
- Own operational logistics execution from booking to delivery, ensuring execution accuracy and timely documentation.
- Monitor shipments proactively, manage deviations, and drive recovery actions to protect customer delivery commitments.
- Be accountable for Market Area logistics KPIs (e.g., OTD/DIFOT, lead-time reliability, execution quality) and contribute to late backlog reduction.
- Drive performance management of nominated Logistics Service Providers in the Market Area.
- People & Organization Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the SAM SVS logistics managers and team reporting to you; ensure clear roles, priorities, and performance management.
- Ensure adequate resourcing, competence, and task allocation aligned with volumes, complexity, and business priorities.
- Drive a strong safety, compliance, and performance culture across the Market Area logistics organization.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Global Logistics Operating Model, SOPs/DOMs, and Logistics Sourcing nominations, contracts, and applicable incoterms.
- Ensure logistics documentation accuracy to enable compliant transportation and customs clearance; support audits, reviews, and corrective actions related to logistics execution.
- Work closely with Trade Compliance and relevant stakeholders to ensure compliant execution in the SAM Market Area.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify and drive improvement opportunities in Market Area logistics execution, delivery reliability, and data quality.
- Support deployment and adoption of new tools, processes, and operating model changes in collaboration with global logistics teams.
- Provide feedback and performance insights to global logistics development initiatives to strengthen end-to-end execution.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain execution, or operations within an international and multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong understanding of transportation execution and delivery performance, including experience working with Logistics Service Providers and service agreements.
- Hands-on ability to manage operational exceptions, prioritize effectively, and drive recovery actions under time pressure.
- Solid people leadership capability: coaching, performance management, and team development.
- Strong compliance mindset and understanding of documentation requirements for cross-border logistics (in collaboration with Trade Compliance).
- Data-driven approach with experience using KPIs to manage performance and improve execution quality.
- Fluent Spanish and/or Portuguese, Fluent English
