Position Purpose
Metso is looking for Junior Electrical Engineer supports electrical engineering and maintenance activities, including inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and documentation of electrical systems. This hands-on role involves fieldwork, technical coordination, and continuous learning under the guidance of senior engineers. It is designed to build core skills in industrial electrical systems while ensuring safe and reliable plant operations.Work is primarily conducted in an industrial setting, with exposure to fieldwork and rotating equipment. Adherence to safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) use is mandatory.
Location : Remote Site in Saudi Arabia
Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment such as motors, switchgear, lighting, cable trays, and control panels.

Support troubleshooting efforts and help identify root causes of electrical faults and equipment failures.

Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

Follow all site safety rules and electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash protection, and safe isolation practices.

Help prepare risk assessments and job safety analyses for electrical tasks.

Ensure compliance with local and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC).

Maintain accurate records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.

Support the updating of electrical drawings and documentation.

Contribute to incident reporting and maintenance analysis as required.

Take part in technical training, toolbox talks, and on-the-job learning.

Build familiarity with single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation basics.

Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and planning teams to schedule and complete work.

Assist in identifying and specifying spare parts for procurement.

Provide updates to supervisors and attend daily team briefings.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Entry-level certifications in electrical safety or maintenance are preferred.

Eligible for professional accreditation (e.g., EIT, SCE, or equivalent).

2 years of experience in electrical engineering or industrial maintenance. Internship or vocational experience in a manufacturing, mining, or utility environment is an advantage.

Basic understanding of electrical theory, control circuits, motors, and protection systems.

Familiarity with multimeters, insulation testers, and other measurement tools.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of maintenance management systems is a plus.

Strong communication skills, teamwork, and eagerness to learn.
