MLE Design Engineer - Metallic

We are currently seeking a Design Engineer – Mill Lining

THE ROLE

The successful applicant will be part of a global team. You will be supporting Local Manufacture, Local Market Area and Global Customer success! It will have a mix product design, production design, technology solutions, Market area support.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and Detail Metallic Mill Lining Products

• Prepare of Parts Lists and Manufacturing templates, to correspond with drawings, using Microsoft Office and other related software products.
• Create and maintain drawings for Metallic product manufacturing
• Making changes, as required, to existing drawings, in line with prescribed quality systems and processes.
• Carrying out requests made by the Engineering Manager and/or Plant Operations Manager.
• Maintain the highest excellence and quality in regards to health and safety and QA functions at, all times.
• Create and maintain BOM data for Plant operations.
• Support the production team for successful on time delivery.
• Support efficient production.

• Support Mill lining products and sales organization in to promote Mill lining business in China.
• Participate in the development of new products or optimization of existing products, together with other involved knowledge areas, to obtain products with better performance, quality and competitiveness.
• This position will also provide supplementary support for the Rubber Factory in Quzhuo.

• Strong computer and Microsoft office skills and experience.
• Good time management, planning and organisational abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to effectively handle interruptions and switch priorities between jobs as required.

• Candidates should be capable of working within a production environment and visiting customer sites as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• location: Quzhou China
• Minimum 3-5 years’ hands-on technical experience of designing.

DESIRABLE

• Experience in Foundry Engineering
• Experience in Rubber manufacturing technoledgies
• Experience in AutoCAD/Inventor, or related engineering design software;

• Experience in mechanical engineering design, 
• Experience in Microsoft office
• Experience in SAP or other ERP software
• Experience in a production environment
• Experience in 3d scanning for design
