Essential
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience: 5-10 years in industrial engineering/methods/automation within manufacturing environments.
- Methodology: Strong grounding in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), and problem-solving frameworks.
- Technical:
- Time study, MTM, line balancing, ergonomics, layout design.
- PFMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP (for automotive/precision).
- PLC/SCADA basics; robotics/cobot integration; machine vision.
- Data analysis (SPC, DOE) and exposure to AI/ML concepts (classification/regression, CV).
- Tools: CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), MES/ERP familiarity, Python/R or analytics tools (optional but valued), Minitab/JMP, Power BI/Tableau.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, structured problem solving, and change Management
Desirable
- Experience with MES (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Ignition), IIoT platforms, and data historians.
- Hands-on cobot programming (UR, FANUC, ABB) and vision systems (Cognex, Keyence).
- Exposure to MLOps tools, basic Python scripting for data wrangling/model deployment.
