Introduction
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Quzhou Foundry team in the Consumables business area. In this role, you will establish and lead the technical management system and standards, drive technological innovation, and support operational excellence, contributing to quality, productivity, and sustainable business growth.You will report to the General Manager, Quzhou Foundry, and the role location is Quzhou, based fully onsite.
Team you will belong to
You will lead the technical team at Quzhou Foundry, focused on engineering, technical governance, process improvement, and new product development. Our team plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations, advancing technology capabilities, and ensuring the effective implementation of technical standards, with a shared focus on operational excellence, innovation, and customer success.
What you'll do
- Architect, implement, and continuously improve the technical management system, technical standards, specifications, procedures, and audit processes to ensure compliance, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Define and execute the technology innovation roadmap, leading cross-functional initiatives focused on process optimization, quality improvement, cost reduction, and resolution of complex technical challenges.
- Manage and optimize the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring technical and process changes are properly evaluated, approved, documented, communicated, and aligned with quality, manufacturing, cost, and supply chain requirements.
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for manufacturing and operations, providing technical leadership for critical production issues and new parts development from design feasibility through production launch.
- Ensure manufacturability and process capability are embedded throughout product development and lead the transition of new products into stable mass production.
- Act as the key technical partner for strategic customers and the primary liaison between local and global engineering teams, translating customer needs into engineering priorities and supporting the execution of global initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the technical team through succession planning, capability development, resource planning, skill gap analysis, and knowledge management practices.
What you'll bring
- College degree or higher in an engineering or related technical discipline.
- Strong experience in a similar engineering leadership role within a foundry environment.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop teams, drive accountability, and foster continuous learning.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Positive, self-motivated approach with a strong teamwork mindset.
Nice to have:
- Engineering, technical, scientific, equipment, and plant knowledge, including quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control practices.
- Knowledge of operations, maintenance, reliability, product management, product development, and market or industry trends.
- Business and financial acumen, project management, risk management, health, safety and environment (HSE) knowledge, and intercultural communication skills.
