Product Technical Support Manager

We are looking for a Product Technical Support Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen our MINGP Stirred Mills in Baden (Switzerland).
Metso is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented engineer to lead a team of experts in providing technical support for Metso's installed base of Vertimills, SMDs and HIGmills. The Product Technical Support Manager will provide technical leadership for in-warranty breakdowns, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives based on feedback and observations of operating mills. The primary objective of the role is to continuously improve Stirred Mill products by providing world-class technical support.
What you’ll do
- Acting as primary contact between Metso Services BA and the Stirred Mill Product Group
- Providing expert support for in-warranty breakdowns, incident investigations, warranty claims and troubleshooting
- Working closely with service engineers, product engineers and suppliers to develop solutions for product operation, maintenance or failure issues
- Leading and developing a team of experts responsible for inspections, installation and commissioning support
- Managing field design changes and ensuring specifications are updated accordingly
- Contributing actively to product strategy, continuous improvement and customer support during capital sales cases
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Several years of experience in equipment design, maintenance and/or field services
- Strong technical expertise in Stirred Mill products and related processes
- Proven skills in problem solving, data handling, process modeling and structured troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills in English, German is an advantage
- Strong leadership and customer orientation, with ability to manage teams on site and remotely
- High motivation, flexibility and readiness for occasional travel to international mining sites
- Solid MS Office skills, experience with MS Project is a plus
