Introduction

 

We are seeking a Sr. Project Purchasing Specialist – ETO Projects to join our Aftermarket Procurement team. You will be responsible for leading procurement and supply chain activities for Engineer-to-Order (ETO) projects, ensuring contractual purchasing requirements are met with accuracy and transparency. Your role plays a crucial part in driving project success through strategic supplier engagement and delivery assurance. In this position, you will report to the SeniorManager – Project Purchasing.

 


This position is mainly located in Pittsburgh, PA, and we offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

You will join a team of procurement professionals dedicated to supporting complex aftermarket projects and ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing. We are currently working on global ETO initiatives and supplier performance optimization.


We work closely with internal stakeholders such as Project Managers, Engineering, and Quality teams, and external suppliers across regions. Our team culture is all about collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement. The members in our team are located in multiple global locations.

 

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Execute procurement of goods, materials, components, and services in alignment with defined cost, quality, and delivery parameters.
  • Monitor and manage open purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery through active supplier engagement and expediting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve systemic procurement bottlenecks.
  • Facilitate project kick-off meetings with internal project management teams and external suppliers to align expectations and timelines.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with Global Procurement Policies, corporate standards, legal regulations, and ethical guidelines.
  • Oversee supplier invoice processing and ensure timely payment approvals.
  • Review and disseminate supplier manufacturing progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics and documentation for global shipment handoffs.

 




Who you are:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement within the machinery, engineering, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficient in contract lifecycle management and supplier negotiations.
  • Foundational knowledge of international trade compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational procurement processes and best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement and order tracking.
  • Project management platforms are a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a high degree of ownership over procurement deliverables.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional support capacity.
  • High attention to detail and responsiveness to project timelines and contractual obligations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as required by project needs.
