About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious people-focused business leader to join our team as Vice President, Service Operations Asia Pacific. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and growing the professional services business in the Asia Pacific region, which includes field services, repairs, service project coordination, and life cycle service contract management.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring profitable growth in the service business with service operations that are safe, efficient, and to world-class OEM standards across the region

Due to the seniority of the role and the demographics covered within the scope of responsibilities it is advised that this role will involve approximately 40% travel as part of normal operations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Metso’s Field Service, Repairs, Projects, and Life Cycle Service (LCS) contract management in the Asia Pacific region.
- Ensure safe, high-quality and profitable service delivery.
- Oversee resource planning, asset management, quotations, proposals, invoicing, workforce management and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with and proactively support sales teams to develop a robust opportunity funnel and capture Service business
- Champion safety and compliance with Metso and local standards.
- Ensure teams are equipped with the right skills and training.
- Drive adoption of Metso tools and processes, including Field Service and Repairs Management Systems.
- Collaborate with the global Professional Services team, other Business Line stakeholders and cross-functional leaders to shape and execute growth strategies.
- Actively contribute to the Asia Pacific Market Area Leadership Team.

- Leadership and development of Service Operations personnel.

What We’re Looking For

- Commercial and business experience of 15+ years.
- A customer centric mindset and understanding of service operations business within the mining, engineering, resource or heavy industries.
- Relevant technical education or equivalent experiences.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage multiple teams.
- Experience in maintenance and reliability management.
- Well-developed negotiation and influencing capabilities.
- Analytical thinking and a data-driven approach.
- Experience in business development and performance improvement.
- Ability to work effectively across cultures and in a matrix environment.
