Purchasing & Sourcing Officer

As a Purchasing & Sourcing Officer within our Global Pumps Team, you’ll play an important role in supporting the Australian Pumps business by managing the local and international purchasing of pump components and indirect materials.

• Raise and manage requests for quotation (RFQs) through Jaggaer.
• Follow up with suppliers on quotations, pricing and delivery timeframes.
• Analyse and evaluate supplier quotations to support purchasing decisions.
• Create and manage purchase orders through SAP.
• Negotiate pricing, quantities and delivery times with suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Support inventory purchasing for Pump Products across Distribution Centres and Service Centres.
• Work closely with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements and ensure timely supply.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, supplier performance and overall efficiency.

More about you

• 2+ years’ experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain role.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing quotations, pricing and delivery timeframes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience using SAP or another ERP/procurement system.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• The ability to understand technical information and, ideally, read basic technical drawings.
• An understanding of mechanical or industrial products and equipment is desirable.
• Experience in mining, manufacturing, industrial or engineering environments is highly regarded.
