We are currently seeking a Proposals Engineer – Grinding Mills to join our Perth-based team. This role supports both the Asia Pacific market and Metso’s global Grinding Mill Business Line.

As the industry leader in grinding mill technologies, this role is critical to our continued success. It represents an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced grinding mill experts while developing a long-term career in the mining and minerals industry.

 

What you'll do:

As a Proposals Engineer, you will:

  • Prepare techno-commercial grinding mill proposals and success strategies in close collaboration with Sales and internal stakeholders
  • Review customer technical specifications and vendor proposals
  • Develop accurate grinding mill cost estimates in line with established standards
  • Manage and maintain proposal documentation and tools
  • Support proposals through to customer submission to achieve successful outcomes
  • Ensure effective handover of awarded orders to project management teams
  • Act as the key contact point between Sales and Product Line teams for assigned sales cases
  • Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders across business lines and regions
  • Follow up on proposal submissions and provide technical and commercial clarifications as required

 

What you'll bring:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A solid understanding of relevant grinding mill products (training provided)
  • Knowledge of Metso’s global network and internal processes (training provided)
  • Strong internal networking capability across business lines and business units
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret customer specifications and expectations
  • Knowledge of sales processes, sales project management, and cost estimation
  • Well-developed written communication skills, particularly for technical sales documentation
  • Degree or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy, or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in proposals and/or estimating may be considered in lieu of formal engineering qualifications
