About Us: Metso is a global leader in sustainable technologies, end-to-end solutions, and services for the aggregates, minerals processing, and metals refining industries. We are committed to driving positive change and innovation in our industry.

About the role

We are looking for a commercially minded and ambitious individual for the role of Manager, Product Sales Support Field & Expert Services to join our global team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has built a strong foundation in sales, business development, technical sales or service-based solutions and is ready to take the next step in their career. We are looking for someone with the drive to learn, confidence to build relationships, and ambition to grow with the business over the long term.

In this role, you will help drive the growth of our Field and Expert Services (FSE) labour business, partnering with our Market Area Sales and Services teams and Services Business Lines around the world. You will support sales opportunities from identification through to proposal and close, while developing your commercial and technical knowledge along the way.

This is a new global role, with responsibility for your own region, reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Sales Support.

What you'll do

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Support and drive Field and Expert Services labour sales growth within your region.
  • Work closely with Market Areas to monitor the sales pipeline and identify new opportunities.
  • Help Market Area teams develop and progress labour and service-related sales opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of compelling customer proposals, including scope definition, costing, pricing and scheduling.
  • Build strong commercial cases that balance customer value and profitability.
  • Develop value propositions, customer messaging and win strategies for opportunities.
  • Work with customers and sales teams to understand their needs and position the right FSE solutions.
  • Present service offerings to customers and share market and customer insights with Product Management.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of labour delivery models.
  • Connect Market Area Sales teams with product and service experts across the business.
  • Share successful sales approaches and best practices across different Market Areas.
  • As your expertise develops, coach and support Sales, Technical Sales Support and Proposal teams in positioning our labour offerings.

What we're looking for

We are interested in potential as much as experience. You could be an early-career professional looking for your next challenge or someone who has already gained experience within technical, industrial or service sales.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Around 2 to 3 years or more of experience in sales, business development, technical sales, commercial support or a related customer-facing role.
  • A strong commercial mindset and genuine interest in understanding customers and creating value.
  • The confidence to engage with different stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
  • An interest in developing your knowledge of service and labour-based solutions.
  • Some exposure to proposals, pricing, business cases, project coordination, scheduling or service delivery would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams, cultures and geographies.
  • Confidence working with CRM systems such as Salesforce, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Fluency in English. Additional languages would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, approximately 45 days per year.

Experience or technical knowledge in grinding, crushing or BDH would be an advantage, but is not essential. More importantly, we're looking for someone who is curious and motivated to develop their technical knowledge.

What will help you succeed

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is curious, proactive and eager to learn.
  • Enjoys working with customers and solving commercial problems.
  • Is comfortable taking initiative and looking for new opportunities.
  • Can bring people together across different functions and locations.
  • Has the ambition to develop into a strong commercial leader.
  • Wants to build a long-term career within a global business.

What we offer

  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The opportunity to build your career in a global commercial role.
  • Exposure to customers, sales teams and technical experts across international markets.
  • Coaching, learning and development opportunities to grow your commercial and technical capability.
  • A dynamic, collaborative and inclusive working environment.
  • The opportunity to make an impact while developing into a recognised expert within the business.

Ready for your next step?

If you have a strong foundation in sales, the right attitude and the ambition to develop your career in a global business, we'd like to hear from you, even if you don't meet every requirement listed above.

Bring your commercial curiosity and willingness to learn, and we'll provide the opportunity to grow your knowledge, experience and impact.
