This successful candidate will join the Service & Construction product group located in Oberursel Germany, which is part of the Business Line MCP within Metals Business Area. This position manages and coordinates services for our global Gas Cleaning and Sulfuric Acid technologies. The key task in this position is to organize, manage and drive global growth and profitability mainly in brownfield plants, working in conjunction with engineering teams and Alumina product portfolio managers. Support areas include sales concepts for service projects, standard parts list management, growth strategies, data analysis, customer analysis, inventory management, go to market strategies, development initiatives, standardization, business cases development, leading initiatives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement service products and strategic plan for service offering, create and maintain business cases, utilizing the Metso MDP process and apply equipment/products lifecycle management, costs management as well as provide OPEX estimates
• Prioritize service product development based on market demand and/or profit optimization
• Perform and liaise with marketing to design product launches, sales campaigns and sales product services
• Develop and maintain service product value propositions, earnings models and pricing guidelines based on Metso pricing policies
• Develop (and deliver) Service product related training to market areas/service teams/sales
• Identify and manage development of technical services for Product group
• Support other product managers in developing generic Capex project spare parts lists
• Ensure service product support (customer, sales cases, delivery cases and service lead support), identifying opportunities and create solutions

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Five (5) Year applicable Engineering or Business Degree (or equivalent experience)
• Min. seven (7) years applicable industry, company, and product knowledge / experience
• A proven track record of professional accomplishments and reliability
• Fluent English language knowledge; German, Spanish, Arabic and other language knowledge is beneficial

TO SUCCEED

• Strong product development understanding and product management experience
• Familiarity with the broad range of Gas Cleaning and Sulfuric Acid related equipment / products
• Services understanding including equipment operation and maintenance principals
• Site/operating plant experience
• High level of computer skills is essential – MS Office plus deep understanding of engineering drawings, CAD tools, PowerBI and other commercial and technical data management tool
• Financials understanding (including pricing, cost analysis, margin levels and SGA)
• Good data analysis skills and decision-making ability
• Leadership and people skills, capability to drive and deliver strategic initiatives
