Metso is advancing the future of mine‑to‑port operations with the Axo33 product suite—an intelligent automation platform that improves throughput, storage efficiency and operational safety across bulk material handling environments. Through real‑time digital modelling, decision automation and industrial‑grade system design, Axo33 products support critical stockyard, rail and shipping operations around the world.

We are now seeking our first dedicated Senior Software Business Analyst to establish and lead structured product and delivery practices within our rapidly growing engineering team.

About the Role

This is not a traditional corporate BA role.

As the Senior Software Business Analyst, you will work directly with engineers, product leaders and delivery teams to define software features, shape functional requirements and build the frameworks that support Axo33’s evolution. You will bring clarity to complex industrial environments and set the foundation for high‑quality, scalable product development.

What You Will Do

  • Own backlog refinement, story structure and overall story quality
  • Define clear, structured functional specifications and documentation
  • Work across both product development and project implementation
  • Distil complexity in large‑scale industrial systems into actionable requirements
  • Help establish repeatable product and delivery practices within a growing team

What You Bring

  • Strong experience as a software-focused BA (ideally within product companies)
  • Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
  • Comfort making sense of ambiguity and building structure where none exists
  • Strong analytical thinking and excellent communication skills
  • A collaborative approach to working with engineering and product teams

Why Metso?

At Metso, your work directly contributes to the reliability and performance of automation platforms used in real industrial environments across the globe. You’ll play a foundational role in shaping how our product evolves, and you’ll join a team driven by innovation, collaboration and real‑world impact.
