Introduction

We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our Metso team. You will be responsible for executing product engineering requirements for our proposal support and development taks. In this position, you will report to the Director, Mill Lining Product Engineering.

This position can be located at our Sudbury, Montreal, or York, PA office. We do offer hybrid options as well.

What you’ll do

• Create customer focused engineering outputs including proposal drawings and general arrangement drawings to support our proposal process that:
  • Balances IP protection with customer required technical details.
  • Clearly convey our proposed designs and solutions.
  • Are consistent with Metso’s branding and standards.
• Contribute to the execution of development projects and tasks as directed by our leadership team and supported by project leads and subject experts.
• Contribute to the creation & maintenance of our engineering and product standards with support from other team members and stakeholders.
• Support information handed over and query management with and for our MLE teams.
• Ensure that our systems and time bookings are maintained and kept up to date for all your tasks and actions.

Who you are

• Technical Diploma or above supported by:
  • 4+ years of Mill Lining or Grinding experience
• 2D / 3D (Inventor preferred) CAD Software proficiency.
• PLM conceptual understanding & a strong EDM understanding.
• Ability to read, interpret and create, technical drawings.
• In depth MLB knowledge for at least 1 product family regarding:
  • Manufacturing ,Product Application or Systems Architecture.
• In depth, practical understanding of IP control.
• Deep understanding of our Product & Design specs and standards.
• Capable executing work independently with Scope guidance.
