Introduction

 

We are seeking a Complex Proposal Manager, Life Cycle Services (LCS) to join our Life Cycle Services (LCS) team. You will be responsible for defining, estimating, proposing, negotiating, and selling LCS offerings, which involves converting customer needs into bespoke technical and commercial solutions. Your role plays a crucial part in ensuring that LCS offerings are technically, commercially, and legally acceptable to Metso, which will contribute to the successful execution of projects and customer satisfaction. In this position, you will report to the Senior Manager- Commercial Support & Strategic Initiatives.

 

This position is mainly located in Canada, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. However, it involves up to 30% of travel to meet with customers as required.

You will join a team of experts in Metso aftermarket portfolio dedicated to converting customer needs into bespoke technical and commercial solutions. We are currently working on defining LCS concepts, creating estimates and proposals, and negotiating offers.

 

We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as the Sales Organization, Product Lines, ISS Organization, Legal Team, and others. Our team culture is all about collaboration, efficiency, and customer focus. The members in our team are located in various locations.

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Define LCS concept collaboratively with the Site Account Manager and Product TSS to meet customer’s needs or desired outcome.
  • Create LCS estimate and proposal using appropriate Integrated Service Solutions (ISS) templates.
  • Ensure LCS offerings are technically, commercially, and legally acceptable to Metso.
  • Negotiate LCS offer with support from Site Account Manager and Legal Team while ensuring Metso ‘must have’ clauses are respected.
  • Organize and conduct kick-off / hand-over to LCS Project Management and ISS team to accurately transfer all project information relating to scope of supply and contractual terms.
  • Drive contract renewals collaboratively with the Site Account Manager, Product TSS, and Project Manager to ensure existing business is retained.
  • Ensure adherence to the Metso LCS processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with Business Line heads for customization of commercial terms.

 

Who you are:

 

  • Applicable industry, company, and product knowledge/2-3 years of experience.
  • Experience in contract negotiations.
  • A proven track record of selling complex solutions.
  • Capability to articulate and communicate topics within the area of expertise to all levels of the organization.
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing, prioritizing tasks, decision making, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong communication, cooperation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Must understand and be able to implement our Market Area strategy.
  • Must be fluent in French.
