Introduction
We are seeking a Site Account Manager to join our Metso team. This role is focused on building and maintaining active long-term relationships with key decision-makers at the site level and continuously promote Metso’s value-adding offering, plus propose ambitious / growth driven order intake budgets for approval, continuously forecast and deliver on order intake and net sales budgets. In this position, you will report to Director, MA Mining Service Sales.
This position’s territory is located Arizona and southern California. This position could entail up to 70% of the time.
What you’ll do
- Build strong relationships by identifying key site contacts, understanding their roles, and aligning with their decision-making authority.
- Lead and coordinate all customer-facing activities across Metso functions, ensuring seamless collaboration and resource optimization.
- Drive profitable business growth through strategic site-level planning, sales execution, and cross-functional teamwork.
- Understand customer operations, including Capex/Opex cycles, to position Metso’s value and influence buying decisions.
- Own Metso’s business development at the site, fostering long-term partnerships and unified customer engagement.
- Manage CRM data accurately, including leads, opportunities, installed base, and site performance insights.
- Conduct ongoing business analysis, define budgets and forecasts, and lead regular reviews with customers and internal teams.
- Champion customer satisfaction by leading surveys, addressing feedback, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience in managing key accounts within the minerals or metals industry.
- Experience in the area of Sales, Account Management, and Customer Relationship Management.
- Experience in working in or closely with sales, product management, and services.
- Experience in a large matrix organization.
- Good common knowledge of the Metso portfolio.
- Knowledge of CRM based systems.
- Ability to be both strategic and tactical. Able to see the big picture, plan, and organize effectively.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Customer business and industry understanding.
- Services business understanding.
- Experience in a large matrix organization.
- Strong networking skills.
