Introduction
We are looking for a Sales and Customer Support Specialist to join our Sales and Services Team. In this role, you will support site account managers in driving current and new sales opportunities, provide timely customer support in line with Metso processes and policies, and contribute to collaborative planning for key accounts. You will help deliver strong customer outcomes by acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams. You will report to the Services Inside Sales & Contract Manager.
This role is based in Mesa, Arizona, with hybrid working options available.
Team you will belong to
You will join a team of Sales and Customer Support professionals focused on customer support, sales coordination, and stakeholder collaboration. Our team plays a key role in supporting account growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring smooth coordination across sales and service activities, with a shared focus on delivering responsive, high-quality support.
We collaborate closely with customers, site account managers, customer service teams, and other internal stakeholders. Our ways of working emphasize open communication, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
- Support site account managers in identifying and advancing current and new sales opportunities.
- Coordinate planning activities across customer planners and buyers, Metso team members, and order management services.
- Provide timely customer support and communicate critical information in line with company processes and policies.
- Participate in customer meetings and site visits to build strong relationships and understand customer needs.
- Support warranty resolution activities in partnership with customer service teams.
- Maintain accurate installed base information and related customer data.
- Contribute technical and cost input to sales cases and proposals.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support special projects based on business needs.
What you’ll bring
- Experience in customer relationship management, sales support, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Business literacy and sound judgment in supporting customer and sales activities.
- Proactive, flexible, and customer-focused approach to problem-solving and support.
- Working knowledge of SAP and CRM systems (nice to have).
- Experience supporting global or international business needs (nice to have).
