Introduction:
We are seeking a Repair Production Manager to join our Mesa Repair Center at Metso. In this role, you will oversee the Mesa repair shop production process, ensuring the right resources (machinery and personnel) to complete the projects on time in accordance with OEM standards. Collaborating with the Mesa Repairs Planners and Estimators to prepare schedules, estimate costs and prepare budgets. Drives production workflow to ensure meeting of deadlines and budget with optimum use of resources. Enforces clean and safe repair production facility incorporating lean practices.
In this position, you will report to the Director, Service Center Repair Operations.
This position locateisd in Mesa, AZ (US).
What you’ll do:
- Oversee daily shop operations and ensure efficient workflow.
- Lead and supervise workshop teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Manage production schedules, performance evaluations, and budgeting processes.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards.
- Interpret engineering schematics and apply mechanical concepts effectively.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through strong service delivery.
- Collaborate across departments to understand customer needs and market conditions.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Actively engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement lean manufacturing methodologies, 5S and other process improvement initiatives.
Who you are:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in manufacturing, construction, or mining.
- Proven shop management and supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of production management, budgeting, and performance evaluation.
- Familiarity with quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Advanced organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent decision-making and customer service abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and public speaking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; SAP or RMS experience is a plus.
