Introduction
We are seeking a Repair Center Planner to join our Repair Operations team. You will be responsible for supporting strategic planning and execution by coordinating labor and material resources, and providing essential information across the organization. This involves production planning, resource tracking, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure smooth operations.
Your role plays a crucial part in optimizing repair center performance and resource utilization, which will positively impact delivery timelines and customer satisfaction. In this position, you will report to the Senior Planner.
This position is mainly located in Mesa, AZ, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of repair planning and production coordination experts who are passionate about operational excellence and strive to deliver high-quality repair services. We are currently working on streamlining production workflows, enhancing resource tracking, and improving delivery accuracy.
We work closely with internal stakeholders such as technical staff, supervisors, engineers, and project managers, and external vendors. Our team culture is all about collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement. The members in our team are located in various locations across the organization.
What you’ll do
- Assist with prioritization, organization, and communication within the repair department.
- Prepare daily Work in Progress tracking tools to communicate progress and delivery expectations.
- Plan production across multiple time horizons, considering KPIs, resource availability, and customer demand.
- Track and investigate current and past projects, identifying resource overrun or underutilization.
- Collaborate with Sr Planner and production teams to meet deadlines and optimize resource usage.
- Monitor production activities and ensure proper execution of assigned tasks.
- Create and maintain job packets or travelers for repair jobs.
- Participate in weekly production meetings and follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
Who you are
- Associate’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in mining equipment repair, manufacturing, or design.
- 2+ years of experience with SAP software.
- Understanding of technical drawings and can read basic prints.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Collaborative team player with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Nice to have: Experience with Microsoft Project and advanced Excel skills.
