Join Our Team as a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Supervisor!

 

Are you passionate about creating safe and sustainable work environments? We’re looking for a proactive and dedicated HSE Supervisor to support and drive our Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives.

 

In this role, you’ll play a key part in executing HSE strategies, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of safety. You’ll work closely with teams to identify potential hazards, implement preventative measures, conduct site inspections, and deliver impactful safety training. Your efforts will directly contribute to protecting our people and the environment.

 

Location: Primarily based in Mesa, AZ, with extensive travel required to support multiple site.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Work with regional HSE manager to develop and implement an HSE program within the country’s business lines and units.
  • Champion to drive a strong safety culture.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate preventative procedures to minimize risk to all employees.
  • Prepare reports that detail current HSE activity.
  • Investigate incidents, maintain documentation and drive toward a zero-accident goal.
  • Update the emergency plan and prepare regular safety exercises.
  • Work with management to ensure that all local and customer safety requirements are met.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and adapt safety solutions to site-specific needs.
  • Conduct regular internal audits.
  • Regularly evaluate contractors and suppliers from the point of view of safety, health, and environment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and site inspections prior to work commencing and monitor throughout the project.

 

Who you are

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, related field or combined education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ HSE experience, preferably in safety, engineering, or large machinery related industries.
  • Proven experience with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and DOT standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
  • Strong leadership and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to provide direction and motivation to teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HSE developments and trends.
  • Must have strong computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel frequently and for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work various shifts; adapting to site-specific safety needs.

 

 

Essential Physical Job Functions and Work Environment

 

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work for extended periods, often outdoors, and in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to navigate different terrains, climb ladders, and stairs.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating tools, machinery, or technical equipment.
  • Visual acuity and color perception to identify and assess potential issues or hazards.
  • Auditory capability to listen to and interpret instructions, alarms, and alerts in a field environment.
