Introduction


We are looking for an HSE Manager, PSE Operations USA to join our PSE Operations team. In this role, you will lead health, safety, and environmental programs across our repair shop, facility operations, and field services activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Metso safety standards. You will play a key role in fostering a strong safety culture, reducing operational risk, and enabling safe and efficient service delivery. You will report to the Director of the Service Center Repair Operations.

This role is based in Mesa, Arizona, with flexible working options available.

This role includes approximately 25% travel to customer and project sites across the United States.

You will lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives supporting our PSE Operations business and field service teams. The team plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, employee wellbeing, operational readiness, and continuous improvement across repair shop, facility, and field service environments, with a shared focus on creating a safe and productive workplace.
We collaborate closely with field service personnel, operations leaders, project teams, facility management, contractors, customers, and external regulatory stakeholders. Our ways of working emphasize open communication, accountability, continuous improvement, and a strong commitment to safety excellence.


What you'll do

 

  • Lead repair shop safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety requirements.
  • Conduct audits, hazard assessments, and corrective action programs to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
  • Manage incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive actions.
  • Analyze safety metrics and trends to develop initiatives that improve performance and reduce risk.
  • Support facility-wide safety programs, emergency response planning, evacuation procedures, and contractor safety management.
  • Coordinate and administer annual, role-specific, and regulatory safety training programs, including MSHA, rigging, fall protection, confined space, crane, forklift, and other required certifications.
  • Manage customer and contractor EHS compliance platforms, site access requirements, and field service onboarding processes.
  • Maintain tooling, equipment, and fleet safety governance programs, including inspections, maintenance records, calibrations, certifications, and readiness audits.


What you'll bring

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading health, safety, and environmental programs in an industrial, manufacturing, mining, field service, or heavy equipment environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems, incident investigation methodologies, and risk assessment practices.
  • Experience developing and delivering safety training programs for employees, contractors, and field service personnel.
  • Ability to analyze safety performance data and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional safety certification such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent (nice to have).
  • Experience working with customer contractor management systems such as Avetta or similar compliance platforms (nice to have).
