Introduction
We are looking for a Global Product Specialist, HPGR to join our Services Business Area. In this role, you will lead global improvements for High Pressure Grinding Roll (HPGR) wear and spare components while serving as a key technical liaison across business lines. You will play a critical role in improving equipment reliability, optimizing product performance, and supporting customers worldwide. You will report to the Global Product Manager.
This role is based in Mesa or Morenci, Arizona, with flexibility considered for the right candidate willing to relocate.
This role includes frequent travel to customer and mine sites, requiring hands-on equipment inspections, maintenance support, data collection, and customer engagement activities.
Team you will belong to
You will join a team of highly specialized product and process engineering professionals focused on HPGR technology, product performance, and lifecycle support. Our team plays a key role in advancing product reliability, supporting customer success, and driving continuous improvement across Metso's global HPGR portfolio.
We collaborate closely with Field Services, Engineering, Procurement, Sales, R&D, suppliers, and customers worldwide. Our team is globally connected, and our ways of working emphasize collaboration, technical excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
What you'll do
- Provide advanced technical support to internal teams and customers for HPGR and stirred mill products.
- Conduct site visits and support maintenance planning, inspections, and execution activities.
- Act as the subject matter expert for product performance, field applications, and value optimization.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to improve product designs, machine performance, and operational efficiency.
- Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment and components.
- Assist Procurement and Engineering with supplier qualification, vendor development, and technical evaluations.
- Develop and deliver technical training programs for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, support R&D projects, and contribute to product portfolio development and quality standards.
What you'll bring
- High Pressure Grinding Roll (HPGR) maintenance and technical experience within mining operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proven success in a technical, product support, or engineering-focused role within mining, heavy industry, or industrial equipment environments.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional teams in a technical support capacity.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver technical training and influence stakeholders globally.
- Strong proficiency with Teamcenter, Vault Professional, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar engineering software tools.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, adaptability, and a customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset.
