Introduction
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Field Services team. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a wide range of field service projects—from minor repairs to complete rebuilds or equipment replacements—which involves collaborating with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers. Your role plays a crucial part in ensuring safe, high‑quality, on‑time, and on‑budget project execution, which will positively impact customer satisfaction and operational excellence. In this position, you will report to the Senior Project Manager, based in Mesa, AZ (US).
This position is mainly located in Mesa, AZ, or Salt Lake City, UT, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. However, it involves up to 30% international and domestic travel to customer sites and other Metso locations for training and meetings.

You will join a team of skilled project management professionals and field service experts who are passionate about delivering safe, efficient, and customer‑focused project outcomes. Our team strives to ensure flawless execution of field service projects across North America. We are currently working on complex rebuilds, equipment installation projects, maintenance shutdowns, and continuous improvement initiatives.
We work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as Engineering, Sales Account Managers, Proposal teams, Field Service crews, customers, contractors, and suppliers. Our team culture is all about collaboration, proactive communication, and delivering with care and accountability. Team members are located across the US and Canada.
What you’ll do
- Manage field service projects to ensure safety, quality, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction targets are met
- Execute projects as sold by Sales and the Proposal Department
- Perform all required SAP activities, including POs, requisitions, cost runs, invoicing, and job closeout
- Prepare and lead internal and external project kick‑off meetings
- Develop project schedules using MS Project, coordinating with engineering and field service teams
- Coordinate delivery of materials, labor, and required tooling throughout project execution
- Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Prepare scopes of work and cost estimates for additional services outside the original contract
Who you are
- Experienced in project execution within mining, heavy equipment, or industrial service environments
- Strong project management skills; Project Management certification (nice to have)
- Solid experience and fluency with SAP (desirable)
- Able to understand engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and schedule discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a passport
