Introduction

 

We are seeking an Equipment-Facilities Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for managing the operations, maintenance, and the overall day-to-day operations of the Metso facility and all production equipment. In conjunction with, and by directed by the site steering committee, this position plans, budgets and schedules equipment PM’s, facility operations, maintenance, and any modifications, including estimates on daily operations and/or materials and other related costs. In this position, you will report to Director, Service Center Repair Operations.

 

This position is located in Mesa, AZ and will be on site. There will be 20% travel required for the role.

What you’ll do

 

  • Facility Coordination: Manage space allocation, layout, and day-to-day operations, interfacing with business leaders and supervisors.
  • Financial Planning: Forecast requirements, prepare the annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Facility Modifications: Plan, budget, and schedule modifications, including cost estimates, as approved by the steering committee.
  • Maintenance Programs: Initiate planned maintenance for office equipment and oversee preventive maintenance for facility and production equipment.
  • Primary Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for internal requests and interface with building owner services (HVAC, electrical, landscaping, etc.).
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with contractors and vendors to ensure optimal operation of production equipment.
  • 5S Initiatives: Support, implement, and sustain 5S initiatives.
  • Equipment Management: Manage equipment through CMMS, tracking performance and ensuring reliability.
  • Third-Party Interface: Oversee the interface with third-party facilities and services, including cleaning, maintenance, and food service providers.
  • Emergency Response and Miscellaneous Duties: Be on call for emergencies, supervise office services staff, interact with visitors, and perform other special projects as required.

 

Who you are

 

  • Associates Degree: Preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in a maintenance/industrial field and 5+ years in supervisory/management roles.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 3. Building Maintenance: Knowledge of costs, cost accounting, budgeting, and general ADA and OSHA regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of building maintenance, construction trades, and equipment maintenance (PM and TPM programs).
  • Analytical and Creative: Ability to develop ideas and plan thoroughly.
  • Organizational Skills: Well-organized with the ability to prioritize work plans.
  • Negotiation and Influence: Ability to negotiate and influence people not under direct supervision.
  • Team Building: Aptitude for team building, delegating, and directing work.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, client management, and business literacy.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, ability to build trusting relationships, manage multiple priorities, and be self-directed and motivated.
