Introduction
We are seeking a Director, Service Center Repair Operations to join our Sales and Services team. You will be responsible for the overall daily Repair Center operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability. Functions include management of center personnel, facilitation of exceptional customer service, and delivering on both financial and non-financial targets. In this position, you will report to VP, Sales & Service, USA
This position is located in Mesa, AZ, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, which could include hybrid options. With in this position there will be limited travel of up to 20%.
What you’ll do
- Lead Repair Operations: Oversee all repair activities in our Service Centers, ensuring safety, resource management, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure Compliance: Conduct operations in line with Metso’s processes, focusing on brand requirements, training principles, and the effective use of digital tools (RMS, SAP).
- Promote Safety: Promote a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislative and Metso HSE standards.
- Optimize Resources: Develop resource capacity and utilization, ensuring the team is adequately staffed with the right skills. Build competency and capacity as needed.
- Financial Management: Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and costs, overseeing financial targets and budgets.
- Loss Prevention: Implement security measures, audit paperwork and inventory, and handle damaged merchandise appropriately.
- Collaborate with Sales: Participate in sales meetings to understand the pipeline, upcoming repair workload, and promote repair offerings.
- Oversee Repair Business: Manage the overall repair business in the USA, including third-party repairs and operations at Metso’s facilities in Hibbing & Salt Lake City.
Who you are
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 4-7 years of relevant managerial or service operations experience.
- Skills: Strong decision-making, problem-solving, leadership in a workshop environment, and advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer Focused: Effective customer service skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP/SAP systems.
- Industry Knowledge: OEM maintenance/service experience and previous experience in industrial maintenance.
