Introduction:
We are seeking an Aftermarket Support Engineer to join our Ausmelt Top-Submerged-Smelting (TSL) team in Melbourne. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our aftermarket business, supporting
existing customers across spare parts, technical services and modernisations & upgrades to ensure ongoing reliability and performance at their operating smelters. This is an exciting opportunity to
apply and develop your engineering skills in the metals refining industry, while gaining experience in sales, project delivery and the design of metallurgical processes and equipment.
Team You Belong To:
You’ll join a team of 20 engineers passionate about delivering value for both new and existing customers. You’ll have the chance to learn from colleagues with a breadth of experience in metallurgical
process and equipment design and play an essential role in providing aftermarket support to operating Ausmelt TSL smelters.
What You’ll Do:

Act as a primary technical and commercial contact point in managing Ausmelt TSL aftermarket enquiries

Liaise with equipment suppliers as part of active sales & delivery cases

Partner closely with Sales, Product & Technology Management personnel to prepare sales estimates and proposals

Support Delivery teams to prepare technical documentation and conduct equipment inspections

Collaborate with global Market Area, Master Data and Smelting Aftermarket colleagues to keep aftermarket projects on track.

Track key-performance-indicators across sales and delivery functions to support growth of the TSL aftermarket business

Work hands-on with SAP, Salesforce, Enovia and other key business systems
Who You Are:

You are a graduate/junior mechanical or chemical engineer with an interest in minerals processing and metals refining

You have well developed planning & organisation skills with an ability to complete tasks quickly and accurately

You are able to work both independently without supervision and as part of a team

You have strong communication & presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications (word, excel, powerpoint, copilot)

You are eager to learn about complex metallurgical processes and equipment, with an interest in solving problems.

You have a customer-first mindset with an ability to strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
