We are seeking a Regional Product Manager to carry out duties within the SBL Central Region.

 

The purpose of the role is to ensure the setting of the region’s priorities for capital products, change request proposals, and warranty delivery of screening projects and products on-site, on-spec, on-budget, to report on and manage the backlog efficiently

 

What you’ll do

 

Support the Head of Region and Team with Product Management functions inclusive of the following  responsibilities and assistance:

 

  • The setting of region’s development priorities
  • My Metso regional support, management and recommendations
  • Cost target setting
  • Cost management in unison with the supply team
  • Support for the price setting
  • Support with engineering for product transfers between manufacturing locations  
  • Regional product offering change request management
  • Part of warranty board
  • Support for regional products launches
  • Member of global product development forum
  • Technical and application support as required
  • Sales support including material creation
  • Design improvement recommendations
  • Fault rectification support

 

RELATIONSHIPS

 

  • Reports directly to the Head of Central Region
  • Close working relationship / interface with Global Product Management
  • Close working relationship / interface with Regional Engineering
  • Close working relationship / interface with Technology

 

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERFACES

 

  • Market Areas, DMO, Systems, Customers, Supply
  • Proposals and sales personnel
  • Project Management
  • Finance personnel

 

Who you are

 

  • Degree/BTech
  • SAP experience and use
  • Product management experience (5-10 years)
  • Technical background on screeing equipment and products
  • Working experience (5-10 years) in similar industry
  • Group work organizing and leading experience
  • Basic understanding of purchasing and manufacturing

 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  • Good organizational and leadership skills combined with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to complete assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision
  • Positive relationship building, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Negotiation experience,
  • Can travel domestically and internationally
  • Computer skills
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing and prioritizing tasks
  • Build good client and stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time
