INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst Peru to join our Consumables Logistics SAM team. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing complex logistics activities for mining consumables such as screening media, wear liners, pumps, and mill lining components. This role supports production, warehousing, and transportation teams by managing higher complexity shipments, guiding logistics processes, and serving as a key point of contact for internal teams, customers, and logistics partners. In this position, you will report to the Team Leader, CNS Logistics Peru. This position is located at our Metso Perú Rubber Polymet factory.
TEAM YOU BELONG TO
You will join a team of supply chain and logistics experts dedicated to optimizing warehousing and distribution processes, who are passionate about driving reliable delivery performance and continuous improvement across logistics operations. We are currently working on visibility and tracking processes, continuous improvement initiatives, performance dashboards, and multi-site distribution operations.
We work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Manufacturing Plants, Customer Service, Procurement, Planners, HS&E, and logistics carriers and vendors. Our team culture is all about collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. The members in our team will be in Brazil, Chile and Peru Metso locations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Coordinate the creation, release, and execution of delivery orders within ERP systems, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer, warehouse, and operational requirements.

Monitor and actively manage logistics backlogs, prioritizing orders and coordinating cross-functional actions to ensure on-time delivery performance and customer commitments.

Plan, schedule, and coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and related logistics planning tools.

Coordinate transportation execution with carriers, third-party logistics providers, customer logistics teams, mine site warehouses, and receiving locations to ensure efficient delivery scheduling, site readiness, and service continuity.

Act as the primary logistics liaison with customer-appointed logistics operators, mine site warehouse personnel, and external service providers to facilitate delivery appointments, shipment acceptance, and issue resolution.

Track and monitor shipments from origin to final destination, proactively managing exceptions, delays, and delivery risks while maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Support the transportation of complex shipments, including oversized, heavy, project-based, multi-component, or remote-site deliveries, ensuring compliance with operational and customer requirements.

Maintain accurate logistics transactions, shipment records, and transportation data within ERP and logistics systems, ensuring visibility, traceability, and process compliance.

Act as the primary logistics point of contact for customer service, sales, planning, procurement, warehouse operations, and external logistics partners regarding transportation execution, shipment status, and delivery performance.

Investigate transportation issues, identify root causes of service failures, and implement corrective actions to improve logistics performance and customer experience.

Review, validate, and monitor transportation invoices and logistics-related expenses, ensuring billing accuracy, cost compliance, timely issue resolution, and alignment with approved rates and contractual agreements.

Analyze logistics performance metrics, transportation costs, service levels, backlog trends, and operational data, providing recommendations to improve efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Own and monitor transportation execution KPIs, including on-time delivery (OTD), backlog aging, shipment visibility, carrier performance, and service-level compliance, driving corrective actions when targets are not met.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to transportation planning, delivery execution, system utilization, and logistics processes.

Provide guidance and day-to-day support to logistics coordinators and analysts, promoting knowledge sharing, process standardization, and best practices across the logistics team.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor's degree in Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, foreign trade, supply chain, or warehouse operations, ideally within the mining, heavy industry, or industrial consumables sectors.

Strong ability to coordinate shipments involving large, heavy, or specialized components.

Ability to support operations serving both standard and remote delivery environments.

Experience mentoring or guiding junior logistics staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Proficiency with ERP systems, TMS, logistics KPIs, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
