INTRODUCTION 

 
We are seeking a Logistics Analyst Peru to join our Consumables Logistics SAM team. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing complex logistics activities for mining consumables such as screening media, wear liners, pumps, and mill lining components. This role supports production, warehousing, and transportation teams by managing higher complexity shipments, guiding logistics processes, and serving as a key point of contact for internal teams, customers, and logistics partners. In this position, you will report to the Team Leader, CNS Logistics Peru.

This position is located at our Metso Perú Rubber Polymet factory.  

TEAM YOU BELONG TO 

 
You will join a team of supply chain and logistics experts dedicated to optimizing warehousing and distribution processes, who are passionate about driving reliable delivery performance and continuous improvement across logistics operations. We are currently working on visibility and tracking processes, continuous improvement initiatives, performance dashboards, and multi-site distribution operations. 
We work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Manufacturing Plants, Customer Service, Procurement, Planners, HS&E, and logistics carriers and vendors. Our team culture is all about collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. The members in our team will be in Brazil, Chile and Peru Metso locations. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

 

  • Create, process, and maintain delivery orders within ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and timely execution of customer and operational requirements. 

  • Support the coordination and execution of inbound and outbound transportation activities, ensuring shipments are scheduled and dispatched according to established plans. 

  • Monitor open deliveries and transportation activities, providing timely updates on shipment status and escalating risks or delays when necessary. 

  • Coordinate with carriers, third-party logistics providers, customer logistics teams, and receiving locations to support smooth transportation execution and delivery fulfillment. 

  • Track shipments from origin to destination, maintaining visibility of delivery progress and ensuring accurate status updates in logistics systems. 

  • Prepare, validate, and maintain transportation-related documentation required for shipment execution and customer delivery processes. 

  • Maintain accurate logistics transactions and shipment records within ERP, TMS, and other logistics platforms, ensuring data integrity and traceability. 

  • Support the management of delivery backlogs by monitoring pending orders, following up on execution activities, and escalating issues that may impact service commitments. 

  • Assist in the coordination of deliveries to customer facilities, warehouses, mine sites, and remote locations, ensuring compliance with operational requirements and delivery schedules. 

  • Respond to routine logistics inquiries from customer service, warehouse operations, planning, procurement, and transportation providers regarding shipment status and delivery execution. 

  • Support the investigation of transportation issues and contribute to the implementation of corrective actions to improve service performance. 

  • Generate and maintain logistics reports, shipment tracking records, and operational data to support performance monitoring and decision-making. 

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on transportation execution, system utilization, process compliance, and service performance. 

  

WHO YOU ARE 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Engineer, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field. 

  • 3 years of experience in logistics, foreign trade, supply chain, or warehouse operations, ideally within mining, heavy industry, or industrial consumables. 

  • Experience coordinating shipments involving large, heavy, or specialized components, supporting operations in both standard and remote delivery environments.
  • Strong ability to coordinate shipments involving large, heavy, or specialized components. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to support operations serving both standard and remote delivery environments. 

  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior logistics staff. 

  • Proficiency with ERP systems, TMS, logistics KPIs, and continuous improvement methodologies. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
