We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Field Service Minerals South Finland & Baltics team! In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on maintenance, assembly, advisory work and service delivery. This is a great opportunity to work in the customer interface and participate in service work. In this position, you will report to Service Manager. 

This role is ideally located in Lappeenranta (Finland), but other locations in Finland are negotiable for the right candidate. We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Please note that traveling is needed in this position (around 100-150 travel days per year). 

What you do

• Be active at the customer interface with direct responsibility for hands-on maintenance, assembly and advisory work, problem-solving, customer training and service delivery in the area of field service, installation and commissioning
• Perform daily maintenance and operation support to our customers mainly with Filter applications in Finland and Baltics
• Attend field services of Metso Minerals technologies such as crushers, screens and mills
• Provide technical support for internal and external customers
• Train customers on basic maintenance tasks and promote service offering and spare part sales
• Assist in customer sales cases and proposals and contribute to improving customer satisfaction
• Be responsible for internal and customer-related reporting and documentation

Who you are 

• You have a strong technical background paired with a relevant degree ideally in Engineering
• Excellent skills in mechanics and hydraulics. Experience in electrical and automation is an asset
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English (including technical vocabulary) 
• Understanding of maintenance practices for industrial equipment
• You can work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
• You have a business-oriented mindset and a methodical and punctual approach to your work
• Willingness to deepen knowledge of Metso technologies and dewatering process
• Previous experience in working with pressure filters and horizontal belt filters is seen as a benefit
