Our engineering team plans and implements large-scale plants in the metallurgical and chemical industry. A key focus of our work is the planning, sizing, and procurement of process equipment – so-called package units. For this, we are looking for an engineer specializing in "Rotating Equipment" (pumps, blowers, compressors, etc.).
As a Project Engineer - Mechanical Equipment - you will:
• Design, develop, and optimize fluid systems.
• Perform preliminary designs for the corresponding equipment.
• Conduct time and budget planning for the assigned equipment packages.
• Specify the technical requirements for the equipment packages and engineering services of the suppliers, request the equipment worldwide, and evaluate the supplier offers.
• Conduct technical negotiations with suppliers and prepare the award.
• Coordinate the interfaces with other disciplines in international implementation projects.
• Manage subcontractors regarding their delivery and performance scope.
• Ensure that the delivery and performance scope meet quality requirements.
• Conduct inspections at the manufacturers' plants.
• Participate in the preparation of offers and support the offer team.
• Participate in the measures of Product Safety Management (PSM) in the projects.
What we look for in you:
• A bachelor's degree, preferably a master's degree in mechanical or process engineering discipline.
• Good knowledge in the areas of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
• Professional experience in handling mechanical equipment and industrial projects.
• Experience in project work with international project teams is desirable.
• Good English skills, both written and spoken; German language is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel for inspections and project meetings.
• A structured, goal-oriented, reliable, and self-responsible working style.
