The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Solution Group – Crushing and Screening, you will drive product sales by possessing extensive product knowledge and strong commercial acumen to clearly demonstrate the customer advantages of using Metso products, including performance benefits, commercial value, and overall solution advantages

 

Due to operational requirements this role can be based at either our Karratha Service Centre or Perth facilities.

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales funnel generation for the product offering responsible for
  • Responsible for the value argumentation, value proposition and win plan of the cases and overall sales for the Product offering
  • Possess extensive product knowledge and strong commercial acumen in order to clearly demonstrate the customer advantages of using Metso products, including performance benefits, commercial value, and overall solution advantages
  • Ensure that Account managers have adequate training and support to sell their products
  • Collects customer and competitor information as per BL/PG requirements
  • Provide Country/Region/market area level PG level business forecast together with the rest of sales teams
  • Understands the market, competition and the industry best practices for the defined technology and ensures that the sales case is built accordingly
  • Supports Warrant process, IB Validation, and inspection report reviews, recommendations, and solution definition.
  • Escalates issues to Business Line/ Product Group Sales Support as required

  

About You

  • Proven B2B technical sales experience in capital equipment, mining, aggregates, processing solutions, or related heavy industry sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop compelling business cases, value propositions, and win plans that demonstrate ROI and total cost of ownership benefits.
  • Deep product and application knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire expertise in crushing and screening solutions.
  • Sales pipeline and funnel management expertise, including forecasting, opportunity qualification, and CRM management.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles, tenders, RFQs, and high-value customer proposals.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence customers, account managers, operations teams, and senior decision-makers.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Market and competitor analysis capability, enabling the development of strategies that strengthen market share and win rates.
  • Customer-focused relationship management skills, building long-term partnerships and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated mindset, with accountability for sales outcomes, forecasting accuracy, and business growth.
  • Experience within crushing, screening, quarrying, mining, or mineral processing industries.
  • Exposure to technical support, engineering, or operations environments, allowing effective translation of technical solutions into customer value.
  • Experience coaching or supporting account managers and sales teams on product offerings and solution selling.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including forecasting, market planning, and business development.
  • Collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to act as an effective communication link between product groups, business lines, and market areas.
