We are seeking a Technical Service, Pumps to join our Pumps team. You will support and develop technical support for the Pumps business lines technologies portfolio and provide onsite and offsite technical support for Metso team and customers.
You will collaborate with the other business teams to ensure exceptional customer experience.
In this position, you will report to the Director, Pumps. This position will be based in Perth or Kalgoorlie, WA.
What you’ll do
• Coordinate all activity involved with MA Pumps BL technologies portfolio technical support.
• Extensive number of customer visits, evaluating customer needs and their further communication within Metso Sales & Services.
• Provide support on commissioning, start-up, performance checks, trials, warranty inspections, parts supply and training through formalized processes and documents.
• Provide high technical expertise in the area of troubleshooting, process knowledge, technical incidents, operation and maintenance for Pumps BL technologies portfolio through site visits.
• Participate in technical warranty claim or customer complaint handling process.
• Support areas include assisting in the form of technical information, diagnostic troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical investigation to internal stakeholders (Sales, Field Service, Quality depart.) and directly to our customers.
• Ensure seamless collaboration with MA sales & services teams locally and globally.
• Develop strong service support and capabilities together with the local services teams, such as field services and repairs.
• Evaluate new services sales opportunities among customer base incl. installed base opportunity mapping.
• Evaluating and supporting Pumps LCS business development.
• Support on profitable growth and retention strategies.
• Support IB Validation; inspection report reviews, recommendations and solution as requested.
• Expertise support for problem management, technical sales support, training development, R&D and product development.
• Act as a trainer for internal/external technical trainings, for Pumps BL technologies portfolio.
• Improvement of Customer Satisfaction.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of industry processes, competitors and commercial influences.
Who you are
• Experience with maintenance and/or rebuild/assembly of slurry pumps.
• Mechanical trade or Engineering Degree qualification with at least 2 years’ experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform or learn how to do 3D scans on site and do 3D modelling with CAD
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must have current motor vehicle license.
• Ability to travel with short notice. Ability to work away from home, for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required.
