Metso is seeking Project Coordinator position to support our ongoing and upcoming projects. This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized professional to be part of a global leader in sustainable technologies and industrial solutions.
The Project Coordinator will play a key role in assisting the Project Management team in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with Metso’s high standards of quality and safety.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
1. PROJECT PLANNING & SUPPORT
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating all project activities.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
- Support the development of project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with company goals.
- Track progress and ensure adherence to project deadlines and budgets.
2. COMMUNICATION & COORDINATION
- Serve as a central point of contact among internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Schedule and organize meetings, site visits, and progress reviews.
- Record and distribute meeting minutes, action items, and follow-ups.
- Maintain clear communication between management, field teams, and suppliers.
3. DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including reports, drawings, permits, and correspondence.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for management and clients.
- Ensure document control compliance according to company standards.
- Support in the preparation of presentations, status updates, and reports.
4. COMERCIAL & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
- Assist in budget monitoring, expense tracking, and cost reporting.
- Support procurement by preparing purchase requests, coordinating with vendors, and tracking deliveries.
- Help manage contracts, invoices, and payment schedules.
5. RISK & ISSUE MANAGEMENT
- Identify potential project risks, delays, or bottlenecks, and communicate them promptly to the Project Manager.
- Help in developing corrective action plans and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
6. SITE & OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
- Coordinate logistics for materials, manpower, and equipment at project sites.
- Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Conduct site visits as needed to monitor progress and support operations.
7. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Contribute to improving project workflows, reporting processes, and coordination systems.
- Support lessons-learned documentation after project completion.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering will be preferred.
- Additional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM) is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination, project support, or related administrative roles.
- Prior experience in engineering, construction, or manufacturing projects is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, documentation, and scheduling.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools such as MS Project and Primavera P6
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent) considered an added advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in using SAP software for project tracking, procurement, or documentation is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with reporting systems and document control processes.
- The ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical schematics.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and engineering documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Able to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to deadlines.
- Problem-solving attitude with flexibility and adaptability to project changes.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in project operations.
