Production Supervisor
Benchmark Job: Line leader, team leader or similar positions.
Grade: Engineering bachelor's degree (Industrial, Electronic, Mechanical or similar).
Summary
The production supervisor is responsible for coordinate and organizes the manufacturing activities at the right time and in the most cost-effective manner, following the standards of Safety, Quality and Production; on time delivery, continuous improvement, personnel development for his/her respective area.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Release of the first run at the start of production, complying with the operating parameters and specifications of the material.
- Responsible for the execution and fulfillment of the production plan and the correct handling of raw materials and/or process material.
- Organize the distribution of your operative staff according to the training matrix.
- Comply with all the company policies and procedures and secure that all personnel under his/her supervision also comply with this requirement.
- Use SAP tool to validate raw materials and WIP inventories (physical vs virtual).
- Collaborate with maintenance, logistics, planning, human resources and suppliers to ensure timely availability of people and machines.
- Tracking and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time following OEE, hour by hour, machine downtime, etc. Presentation and daily follow-up.
- Fully capable to use manufacturing techniques for decision making and problem solving like Pareto, 5 why’s, SPC, Fishbone, SMED, 5’s, 8’D’s. Presentation and daily follow-up.
- Authorize vacations, overtime, and incidents according to the HR tool provided.
- Monitor and apply procedures and work instructions in accordance with established safety and quality guidelines.
- Authority to change molds on machines and to stop production if previously established requirements are not met.
- Review in a monthly basis the breakdowns for maintenance, training etc.; to don’t affect the productivity and the targets.
- Supervises, motive and coach unionized work personnel, ensuring that they comply with the company's internal work regulations, procedures and policies to have the necessary records to carry out an evaluation of their behavior and performance.
- Available to rotate shifts, work on weekends and holydays or overtime. (Work 4 days, rest 3 days- 12 hours shifts).
Other Duties
Support in the development and implementation of production plans, schedules, trainings and capacity requirements to ensure on-time delivery of finished product following Safety and Quality requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has/does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Engineering bachelor's degree (Industrial, Electronic, Mechanical or similar).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in management and supervisor people.
- English intermediate.
- Experience working with machining and presses equipment desired.
- Knowledge in manufacturing processes, tooling inventory and product design specifications.
- Development, application and follow-up Kaizen ideas, 5´s methodology and records of quality.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Intermediate knowledge of the written and verbal English language.
- A good level of computer skills in essential – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SAP and others.
- Understanding the relationship with internal suppliers.
- Must be open minded and ready to share experience and knowledge with others.
- Position requires support expertise in good suppliers’ relation skills, ability to work within a team environment, creativity, innovation, and ability to understand the business.
- Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing, prioritizing tasks, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, cooperation, interpersonal and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces.
