Quality Manager

Introduction 

We are looking for a Quality Manager  to join our RUPO Mexico Team. In this role, you will  carrying out Quality activities within the Metso manufacturing plant in Irapuato, Mexico. In this position, you will report to the Mexico Consumables Supply Chain Head.This role is based in Irapuato, Gto.

You will join a team dedicated to providing solutions, recommendations and preventive actions that safeguard the safety of all Metso personnel. 

 

 

What you’ll do 

 

  • Manages the implementation, running and development of the quality assurance and standard ways of working.
  • Manages and drives feedback process (internal/external complaints) and continuous improvement down to root cause eliminations and standardizations. 
  • Facilities the implementation of quality targets and action plans.
  • Coordinates the network of quality professionals (e.g., Quality Engineers) in the region.
  • Manages and ensures competence of quality resources within the hub.
  • Trains/coordinates trainings of quality, continuous improvement, and LEAN topics.
  • Is responsible for QMS of the region (ISO 9001, 1st, and 3rd party audits).
  • Is responsible of total quality self-assessment.
  •  Acts as a change and continuous improvement ambassador and role model in quality and LEAN in the region, mentoring and coaching with practical approach.
  • Is a member of R&P SC Global Quality Team.

 

What you’ll bring 

 

  • To ensure the correct inspection of the main raw materials of the process, this activity is developed

in conjunction with the suppliers and the purchasing area. (2 to 3 weeks)

  • Supplier performance evaluation, based on the quality of the materials delivered, as well as the

documentation that supports their quality. Diagnosis one month for documentation.

  • Ensure the correct inspection and release of finished products by production to the shipping area.

This release consists of the evaluation of the products and the documentation that supports the

correct manufacture. Diagnosis one month for documentation.

  • Generation and distribution of the Quality Certificates requested by the client. Minimum one year

and it will depend on the process.

  • Receipt and request for information for acceptance of claim orders. I diagnose a month
  • Establish and monitor the documentary structure of the company's quality management system. 6

to one year minimum.

  • Generate indicator report monthly. 6 months and implement a score card and control chart for each indicator
  • Establish and improve procedures that are the responsibility of the area, for the administration of

the quality system, with the approval of those involved. It goes hand in hand with plant documentation 6 months to a year.

  • Provide training on improvements to procedures or new procedures or formats that are generated

in favor of Quality.
