ntroduction:
We are seeking a Purchasing Officer to join Rubber Mexico team. You will be responsible to ensure following up on procurement process, you will report to the CNS Procurement Leader.
This position is mainly located in Irapuato, Guanajuato MX.
Team you belong to:
You will join a team dedicated to process the requirements of goods, services and equipments from users at site as well as managing vendors relationships pointing to become real and strong bussiness partners.
What you’ll do:
• HSE compliance program
• Quality management system compliance
• Securing supplying of all materials, goods and services required in your area of responsability.
• To quote, compare alternatives and Create Purchase Orders.
• Following up Purchase order requirements up to proper delivery.
• Following up suppliers´ payments.
• Following requirements from Integral Management System, as well as proposing changes for improvement.
• Processing onboarding of new vendors and create and maintain vendor files.
• Processing new items at ERP.
• Tacking care of enviroment and care for the best use of resources at disposal.
• Promote a commitment to environmental best practices among suppliers (Science-Based Targets).
• Make the correct use of the PPE (personal protective equipment) corresponding to the work area.
• Activly participate on HR; HSE and Qualtity teams activities and initiatives.
• Ocassional traveling.
Who you are:
• Schooling: Higher education: A bachelor's degree in Administration, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Knowledge of the English language advanced level.
• Office knowledge (word, excel, ppt) and computer equipment.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in SAP.
• Strong understanding of production process, equipment and practices.
• Basic understanding and interpretation of drawings.
• Strong interpersonal skills (leadership, communication, emotional intelligence) with the purpose of
achieving the expected results.
• Have initiative to ensure the client's needs.
• Self-direction and auto motivation.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively on an ongoing basis.
• Effective negotiation.
