Introduction
We are seeking a Occupational Medical Doctor to join our Medical Mexico team. You will be responsible for carrying out Occupational Health activities within the Metso manufacturing plant in Irapuato, Mexico. In this position, you will report to the Senior Occupational MD.
This position is mainly located in Irapuato, Guanajauato MX.

You will join a team committed to providing solutions, recommendations and preventive actions that safeguard the safety of all Metso personnel.
What you’ll do:
As a Occupational MD at Metso, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the health of our personnel by implementing key occupational health programs. Your responsibilities will include:
• Partnering with the Mexico HSE Coordinator and the Local HSE Committee to implement a forward-thinking occupational health program.
• Developing and promoting a culture of health through proactive risk assessments, prevention strategies, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Leading investigations into workplace incidents, implementing measures to reduce future risks, and working toward a zero-accident workplace.• Crafting monthly and annual reports on occupational health and safety initiatives.
• Training first responders and supporting ergonomic compliance throughout the facility.
• Ensuring proper handling of biohazardous materials, medications, and PPE.
• Collaborating closely with plant management to assess health risks related to new operations.
Who you are:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, plus a specialization or advanced diploma in Occupational Health or Occupational Medicine.
• 5+ years of experience in employee health services, occupational risk assessment, and compliance.
• A proactive mindset with strong leadership and communication skills.• A natural problem-solver with the ability to work independently and influence across departments.
• Passion for workplace health, continuous improvement, and people development.
