MLE Junior Designer

Introduction
We are seeking a Mill Lining Engineering Designer to join our MLE Mexico team. You will be responsible for the creation of manufacturing drawings for products which belong to the Mill Lining Business Line in accordance with the corresponding CNS Engineering, you will report to the MLE Supervisor.
This position is mainly located in Irapuato, Guanajauato MX.

You will join a team committed to providing customer solutions and designs from the Business Line by performing complex
hands-on support and drafting work and performs calculations for the making of engineering and production drawings for products and tooling required for the manufacturing of rubber / steel /aluminum composite wear resistant items in the Rubber and PolyMet (RuPo) manufacturing units of Metso.
What you’ll do:
• Lead Engineering Design: Create manufacturing drawings for products within the Mill Lining Business Line, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and engineering guidelines.
• Collaborate for Growth: Work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge designs that exceed customer expectations.
• Support Innovation: Contribute to research and development (R&D) efforts, support to push the boundaries of what’s possible in engineering design. • Build Quality: Assist us achieve operational efficiency by developing project timelines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and resolving technical challenges.
Who you are:
• A problem-solver with a solid understanding of engineering processes, costing, and drawing interpretation.
• A motivated leader who thrives in a time-sensitive setting and has high decision-making and communication skills.
• Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Inventor (80% skill level), with good experience in PDM Teamcenter. • Adept at using key software tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and Outlook.
• Experience with SAP is advantageous, but not required.
