Introduction
We are seeking a Logistic Specialist to join our SVS Global Logistics Operations team. You will be responsible to ensure Responsible for Inbound and Outbound Transportation for all modes of transportation. Coordinates and monitors the activities of third parties involved, such as customs brokers and carriers, you will report to the Manager, Logistics Operations NCA.
This position is located in Irapuato, Guanajuato MX.
Type of position (Temporary): 6 months, with the possibility of extension to one year.

What you’ll do
- Coordinate and execute domestic shipments to our end customers mine sites, ensuring accurate documentation, on‑time delivery, as the follow up of the PODs.
- Prepare, review, and manage logistics documentation such as invoices, packing list, certificates of origin and letters of instruction.
- Support project teams by planning and implementing logistics solutions that align with project scope, timelines, and customer requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for freight‑related issues, including documentation discrepancies, tariff interpretation, VAT, and trade compliance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG) and all import/export laws and company policies.
- Negotiate freight rates and conditions with carriers and logistics service providers to optimize cost and service levels.
- Monitor logistics costs, allocate expenses accurately, and identify savings and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Contracts, Proposals, and Services to ensure a shared understanding of logistics requirements.
- Strong collaboration with the Accounts Receivable area with all the Proof od Deliveries in time.
Who you are
- A logistics professional with 2-3 years of experience in domestic and/or international logistics within a complex, multi‑business environment.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- You bring strong knowledge of international trade, shipping regulations, export controls, and customs compliance.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- A strong communicator with a customer‑service mindset, able to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to broader supply chain and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and logistics systems; SAP experience is a plus (nice‑to‑have).
- Experience in construction, heavy equipment, or mining industries and familiarity with engineering drawings are considered an asset (nice‑to‑have).
