HSE Supervisor

Primary Location: 

Irapuato, GUA, MX

Introduction

 

We are seeking a HSE Supervisor to join our Rubber Mexico team. You will be responsible to ensure high accuracy and completeness of information in HSE area, you will report to the HSE Leader, Rubber plate factory

 

This position is mainly located in Irapuato, Guanajauato MX.

 

Team you belong to

 

You will join a team dedicated to providing solutions to our HSE team and stakeholders.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Coordination of activities with the stakeholders to carry out its functions according to the schedule made by HSE.
  • Obtaining the necessary information for the implementation of Metso`s Safety and Industrial Hygiene Programs.
  • Surveillance of compliance with Metso`s Health and Safety Procedures at the production plant facilities
  • Attention to the requirements of Internal and external Audits.
  • Give help to stakeholders in the Investigation of accidents / incidents process that occurred on site under the formats already established within the safety and hygiene program.
  • Review and give help to stakeholders to carry out the Job Risk Assessments for all activities.
  • Stablish an action plan to meet NOM-019-STPS-2011 Safety Committee requirements.
  • Carrying out daily tours (Gemba walk) to determine unsafe acts and conditions in the production plant facilities.
  • Monitor and / or carry out the compliance of corrective measures arising from the daily tours (Gemba walk) of Determination of Unsafe Acts and Unsafe Conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
  • Create procedures, instructions to stablish safety measures in the manufactory site.
  • Follow and improve the HSE program.
  • Correct use of stationery resources to minimize the environmental impact.
  • Correct management of electricity use (switching off and disconnecting equipment not in use).
  • Correct management of water use (do not leave the faucet running).
  • Correct use of PPE.
  • Verify ergonomic compliance.
  • Awareness and follow-up of procedures for the correct final disposal of municipal solid waste, special handling waste and hazardous wastes.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

  • Engineering Bachelor, legal requirements, Risk assessment, and basic knowledge in ISO 9001.

Experience:

  • Contractors management, legal requirements management system, job risk assessment, accident investigation process.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Negotiation, communication, teamwork, leadership, lay out / process flow process: interpretation.
